Dr Amit Ranjan

Amit Ranjan is the writer of John Lang: Wanderer of Hindoostan… (non-fiction, 2021); The Knot of Juggernaut (poetry, 2022), and Find Me Leonard Cohen, I’m Almost Thirty (poetry, 2018). His poetry, essays and short stories have appeared in various journals and edited volumes like La Zaporogue, Muse India, The Equator Line, Cadences etc. Amit is also a playwright, and a translator. His plays have been staged in Delhi, Calcutta and Tunis. Currently he is translating Mridula Garg’s Miljul Mann. Amit has been a Fulbright scholar thrice (2015, 2019, 2021) – all three times at FIU, Miami, USA. He was also a recipient of Endeavour Research Fellowship of the Australian government (2010), and of Inlaks Research Fellowship (2010), courtesy of which he was a Visiting Fellow at UNSW, Sydney. Currently he is an Assistant Professor of English at NCERT, Delhi.
