Rimina Mohapatra

Rimina Mohapatra is an author, editor, and Publishing Manager at Routledge & CRC Press, Taylor & Francis Group, Informa plc., where she oversees global books editorial research teams and is part of the India senior leadership group. With over 18 years of experience in academic publishing, and making of over 1,000 print and eBooks at Routledge, she has collaborated with authors, editors, institutes,  researchers; managed multiple projects and book series; led editorial, production and design teams; built content, communications and event projects; trained and mentored peers and researchers; and has had an integral role in the development of the Routledge India editorial programme in South Asia and other global lists, publishing academic books in the humanities and social sciences. She has fostered content and publishing partnerships that contribute to the academic field and professional practice for global and the global south academic communities. Further, she has delivered lectures and conducted workshops for researchers and faculty on academic publishing and writing, been part of publishing and leadership panels, and moderated events and discussions, including at litfests.

Her academic publications include the books Hegel’s India: A Reinterpretation, with Texts (2017/18, Oxford University Press), nominated for the Tata Literature Live! Book of the Year Award 2017 (Nonfiction), and Reading Hegel: The Introductions (re.press, 2008/13). She holds an MPhil degree in Philosophy from University of Delhi, and postgraduate and undergraduate degrees in Philosophy from St. Stephen’s College, New Delhi. Her dissertation is a Kantian critique of linguistic minimalism of Noam Chomsky entitled ‘Problem of Method in Linguistic Inquiry: How is Biolinguistics Possible?’. She was also Junior Specialist at the Department of Philosophy, University of California Santa Cruz, USA, and Junior Research Fellow, University Grants Commission of India. Her other interests are in art, design, photography, music, travelling, writing, poetry and cinema.
