Swapna Mishra (b. 1970) graduated from Utkal University with a Ph.D. in Odia on the linguistic study of Odia Bhagabata. Since then, she has written various texts with a fondness for literature in her heart. These texts include anthologies of poetry (e.g. Chadha Utara, Prathama Pruthibi, Sabda Banchirahe etc.), anthologies of prose (e.g. Prarthanara Niaghera, Nabagunjara etc.), novels (e.g. Daga, Jala, Nirabatara Uccharana, Pheta), and translations (e.g. Samudra Ghoda, Sansayatma, Lomasa Jalahasti). She has been felicitated with awards like Ankura Puraskara, Sreekshetra Samman, Rajdhani Pustakamela Puraskara, Dr. Sachidananda Routray Nabaparba Puraskar and many more.
